The horizontal cabinet for cutting dies is a storage system designed for the operator who needs to store, keep in order and safely the cutting-dies useful for processing, in all factories where leather cutting is performed.
The recommended position of the cabinet is in the cutting department of the factory: either next to the hydraulic machine or in front of the traveling heads cutting machine so that the operator has a comfortable worktop surface and drawers for storing the cutting-dies.
In the case of large cutting-dies, with a length of up to 180 cm, we have designed a customized horizontal cabinet with a special structure, a tailor-made unit.
The cabinet is used for the storage of bulky cutting-dies such as those used in leather goods factories (cutting-dies for leather suitcases and cutting-dies for leather bag straps) or in belt manufacturers (cutting-dies for leather belt).
Where did the demand for the custom-made horizontal cabinet come from?
The request for the realization of a custom-made horizontal cabinet came from the need of one of our customers: a factory of a well-known leather goods company in the province of Florence (Italy). Its first need was the management, horizontally and safely, of bulky and heavy cutting-dies with length L=180 cm.
After analyzing all the customer’s needs, the size of the materials to be handled and the department to be set up, we developed the project.
The technical department designed a custom-made horizontal cabinet equipped with 16 drawers to handle voluminous tools, the bulky cutting-dies. After the product test, the new solution was installed into the plant of our customer, the leather goods factory.

The custom-made horizontal cabinet is made of galvanized steel and the top shelf is made of durable wood.
The external dimension is 198 x 78 x H100 cm while the interior useful dimension of the drawer is 180 x 62 cm.
The storage capacity of the whole drawers unit is approx. 18 m 2
The drawers unit is equipped with 16 drawers of 40mm with linear guides and blue plastic handles that make each drawer easy to open.
The reinforced structure is suitable for the handling of bulky and heavy cutting dies.
The drawers unit is easy to install, it can be forklifted with a pallet truck or a forklift and placed in the company’s department.
